They are our inspiration.
A group of individuals together, yet on their own. Abuzz in their loyal service.
Passionate in creating something that is distinctly theirs.
And like these inspiring little insects, that are not supposed to be able to fly,
We refuse to believe in the impossible.

I’m Bill
BEE AMBASSADOR & OWNER
The BHive Company started with the rescue of a few local hives, fueled by a passion for conservation. Bee-keeping has turned out to bring education far beyond the hives—lessons that easily transfer to life. For instance, I’ve learned the principle of having no fear when working with bees. It turns out that bees, like other animals, can sense fear—which may trigger an aggressive response. As my confidence grew in working with my hives, I began shedding the protective gear, and now often work with none. And there’s something to be said for dropping your defenses and approaching life authentically and fearlessly.
We’re still at the beginning of our journey, with many exciting things in view—like artisan honey from not only my hives, but from hives around the world; along with other fine products like polos, Ts, mugs, candles, balms, and treats. Visit my Facebook page where I share personal insights and touch on the history of beekeeping. We’re seeking to establish partnerships with those who share our vision to make a difference in conservation efforts, complimented in part, by profits from a new line of special merchandise to come. And, of course, all flavored with a touch of life inspiration (see our “bee” quotes).
So please check out the site and send us your contact info to be among the first on our Founders List. Great things are coming—because, as always—“We Beelieve...”

HOW YOU CAN HELP
“If the bee disappeared off the face of the earth, man would only have four years left to live.”
MAURICE MAETERLINCK (1862-1949)
A poet, playwright, and Nobel Prize winner, Mr. Maeterlinck would likely wonder how the world allowed the bee population to drop by 25% since his death in 1949.
In the US, honey bees pollinate $15 billion in agricultural products each year,
including more than 130 types of fruit, nuts, and vegetables.

Our Passion
There are over 20,000 bee species around the world and over 4,000 in North America alone (in fact, California, Texas, and Florida make up 55% of the US honey bee population). According to the Center for Biological Diversity, one in four species are in danger of extinction. Bees pollinate much of our food supply. To say our lives depend on their success may be an understatement. Their habitats are disappearing because of pesticides, parasites, and disease.
The BHive Company is establishing partnerships with companies that will help make a difference. When you join us by purchasing products or merchandise, you become part of the solution, ensuring that generations to come benefit from thoughtful stewardship of our resources.

Help The Movement
• Support beekeepers by buying local, organic honey (and those who support them across the nation).
• Replace processed sugar with honey, which is healthier.
• Spread the word among family and friends.
• Attract more bees by planting flowers in your region that they love, like lavender, sunflowers, black-eyed susans, or white wild indigo. For more options, check out the High Country Gardens page.
• Support foundations that are actively making a difference, like TheBeeConservancy.org and KarmaHoneyProject.com.

Local Assistance
Do you have bee issues or an unwanted hive? Encourage friends and family not to call an exterminator. Bee rescue groups are available locally and many offer free services to relocate a colony.
In the Ocala area, call me and I’ll come out for free. All of my bees are rescues and I enjoy getting them resettled on our farm, where you can eventually enjoy the fruits of their labor.
For the rest of Central Florida you can contact Bee Serious bee removal, run by a beekeeper based in Orlando. They’ve been in business for more than a decade with multiple locations and trained technicians ready to save and relocate hives.Call 407 943 4515 or visit BeeSeriousFL.com for details.

We will usually have a few honey varietals on offer: first, from our farms in Ocala, Florida, then the national or international varietal(s) in season. Let us know which you might be interested in. We also have a new line of merchandise coming. Polos, Ts, mugs, and candles are planned, but we’d love to hear what you might like to see.
