What began as simple curiosity became something much deeper — a bond built on trust, patience, and quiet respect. Working with bees has changed how I see the world and my place in it. Everyday, it reminds me that harmony is possible when we move gently.

When I first began working with hives, my protective suit provided a level of comfort. But I quickly realized that to develop a more symbiotic relationship with these little creatures, I would need to ditch the layers. Bees can sense fear and anxiety so I always put myself in a relaxed, meditative state of mind. It’s true that they recognize faces and have different personalities. In a lot of ways, they start to feel like family pets.
Over the past year, I’ve helped rescue and relocate dozens of hives to our Ocala-based horse farm. We offer our services for FREE throughout Marion County and can help you find assistance in your neck of the woods too. If you are interested in beekeeping, we have coaching available and an overview of getting started available for downloading here (Magic of Beekeeping).
Our honey varietals include our signature wildflower from our own hives and regional favorites sourced from private bee keepers throughout the country – always raw and unfiltered. Our shop also offers bee apparel and unique gifts, perfect for the holidays. Dedicated to conservation and education, we donate a portion from each sale to PlanetBee.org.

OUR STORY
Over 20 years ago, my business partner and I founded The BHIVE, a real estate company inspired by the harmony and purpose found within a hive. That same spirit of collaboration and care soon led us to create hives of our own. First as an experiment and gesture for clients, then as a mission for something greater.
What began as one hive became a passion for conservation, community, and connection — values that continue to shape everything we create today.
